Windows Weather Gadget Not Working
They may have discontinued support, but that is NOT why the gadget stopped working. I have three systems in my garage, and my work system, all running Windows 7 x64, and all but 1 have working weather gadgets. I don't know the solution, but but it isn't like everyone's weather gadget stopped working.just some of us. Tried éverything else, no results, till I just provide the specific zip program code for the place I liketo observe the weather in the research menus and imagine it worked, after that I did the exact same on my personal computer in Portugal (via teamviewer) and right now there it worked as nicely.I wish it will help you simply because good as it do for me.Ron.

The Newsfeed works and has been working all the time. To try and fix it I have tried to close both the weather and currency gadgets and restarted the computer only to find that they still don't work. With the Weather Gadget all it says 'Cannot connect to service' and when I go into its options it cant locate any city/towns to activate it.

I had been successfully capable to edit and conserve the gadget.xml data files for all my gadgets (D:Program Documents (x86)Windows SidebarGadgets(name).Gadgeten-USgadget.xml) but when I log in with anything other than 100% DPI they are usually still hosed. I was image resolution a large number of notebooks and on versions with large screens the default will be 125% DPI, indicating those customers are hosed by default.Any progress on tweaking those various other settings? Offers MS released a “fix” to obstruct your autoscale xml hack?.

The title says it all.My OS is Home windows Vista Ultimate without SP 1.I set up Java EE 5 SDK Revise 4 (with JDK 6u5).The weather gadget that ships with Windows vista now says Service Not really Obtainable.I are throwing myself for installing Sunlight Microsystems JDK ánd JREbut it was a requirment for a university or college course.Any ideas what is heading on with the gadget / program?Ahem.
